How My Doggles handles your data. Plain English, no surprises.

Effective 10 June 2026 · Version 1.0

Who we are

My Doggles is an educational app and website that simulates how different dog breeds see the world, using your device's camera. The app is published under the bundle identifier com.pawview.mydoggles. Operator contact: mydoggles@threeeyedemu.com.au.

This policy covers the mobile app (Android & iOS) and the website at mydoggles.com. Where the two surfaces differ, the section says so explicitly.

What we collect, and where it goes

Camera frames · All versions

When you use the camera feature, frames from your device camera are processed locally on your device to apply the dog-vision filter in real time. These frames are never transmitted, stored, or sent to any server. They exist only in your device's memory while the camera page is open.

Saved photos · All versions

When you tap the shutter, the resulting filtered image is saved to your device's local storage (via the system file APIs). These photos stay on your device. We do not upload them. You can delete any saved photo from the in-app gallery at any time.

Advertising identifiers · Mobile app only

The mobile app shows ads supplied by Google AdMob. AdMob collects standard ad-related data including your device's advertising identifier, coarse approximate location, and ad-interaction signals. We don't see this data ourselves — Google handles it under their own privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy) and their developer terms for AdMob. You can limit ad personalisation in your device settings: on Android via Settings → Privacy → Ads, on iOS via Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. The web version of My Doggles does not show ads.

Account information · Website only, if you sign in

The website may in future offer an optional account for additional features; no account exists today and none is planned for the mobile app. If you sign in, we store your email address and any name / avatar you provide, via Supabase (our hosted database and authentication provider). Supabase processes this data under their privacy policy (supabase.com/privacy). If you sign in with Google or Apple, the identity provider you choose will share standard sign-in information (your email and basic profile) under their respective privacy terms. The mobile app does not require an account.

Subscription & payment data · Website only, if you subscribe

If you take out a paid subscription on the website, payments are processed by Stripe. We never see your card details — Stripe handles them under their own privacy policy (stripe.com/privacy). We store only the fact that you have an active subscription and when it next renews, so the app can unlock paid features for your account.

Analytics & crash reporting

My Doggles currently does not collect analytics or crash reports. If that ever changes, we will update this policy and call it out clearly here before the change ships.

Permissions we request

  • Camera — required to apply the live dog-vision filter. The app cannot work without it.
  • Photos / media — used only to save and view photos you've taken in the app. We do not read your existing photo library.
  • Internet — used to load ads and their consent flow (mobile). If the website's optional account features launch, also used to communicate with Supabase / Stripe (web only).

Children

My Doggles is rated for general audiences and is not specifically directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the website's optional account feature, contact us and we will delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the EU/UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act, or the Australian Privacy Principles. In practice, with My Doggles you can:

  • Delete saved photos at any time from the in-app gallery.
  • Ask us to delete your website account and the associated data — email us at mydoggles@threeeyedemu.com.au. We'll action this within 30 days.
  • Request a copy of any account data we hold about you.
  • Limit ad personalisation through your device settings (see Advertising identifiers above).
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority if you're not satisfied with how we've handled a request.

Data retention

Saved photos stay on your device until you delete them. Account data is kept while your account is active, and is deleted within 30 days of an account-deletion request (some records may be retained longer where required by law — for example, transaction records under tax law). Subscription records are retained by Stripe per their own retention rules.

Where data is processed

On-device processing (camera, saved photos) stays on your device. Account data is processed in the region configured for our Supabase project. Payments and ad delivery may involve transfers to the United States and other regions where Stripe and Google operate. Where required, we rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.

Security

We use the same encryption-in-transit (HTTPS) that the underlying providers use. Stored account data is protected by Supabase's row-level security, which restricts access so that each user can only see their own records. We don't store payment details. No system is perfectly secure — if you believe an account has been compromised, please email us.

Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, we update the effective date and version number at the top of the page. Material changes (for example, adding analytics or a new third-party provider) will be called out clearly in the relevant section.
